Inline detection of mechanical and magnetic properties of steel strips.
PropertyMon enables inline detection of the mechanical and magnetic properties of steel strips based on an electromagnetic measuring principle. The system performs continuous, contact-free inspection along the entire strip length — in real time and under production conditions.
The measurement results are immediately available to operators via visual display while simultaneously being stored in PropertyMon’s internal database. The contactless sensors inspect the entire strip material at full production speed. Automatic sensor adjustment allows measurements at different strip positions — both longitudinally and transversely to the rolling direction.
Thanks to the compact sensor design, measurements are independent of strip speed, making the system ideal for both hot and cold rolling processes.
All ferromagnetic steel grades can be inspected, including microalloyed steels, IF steels, dual-phase steels, silicon steels, and TRIP steels.
